Founded in 1971, Hard Rock Cafe is globally renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, legendary rock memorabilia, and live performances. With locations worldwide, each cafe blends music and dining, creating an immersive experience under one roof.
Hard Rock Cafe Ankara, opened in 1998, brought this iconic mix to Turkey’s capital, offering not only classic American cuisine but also themed merchandise like t-shirts, pins, jackets, mugs, and accessories inspired by the city’s landmarks.
Designs for Hard Rock Cafe Ankara celebrated both local heritage and rock culture. By blending art and history, these designs enhanced the visitor experience, sparking curiosity about Ankara’s traditions while maintaining the global Hard Rock Cafe aesthetic. The Opening Staff pin design was inspired by the Hittite Sun Disk, also known as the Hittite Sun Course, an ancient Anatolian symbol dating back to the 20th century BC, which is now a symbol of the capital city.
Ankara Castle, another symbol of the city, was also used as inspiration for the design of the Halloween pin. Stained glass artworks highlighted symbols like the Ankara Goat, Seğmen dancers (traditional Turkish folk dancers), and Atakule, merging Ankara’s cultural symbols with Hard Rock’s signature style.
